Broken pipes

Last week our suburb experienced loss of water supply due to some broken pipes.  It made me realise how much I can take the convenience of household water for granted.  I don't have to travel for miles to collect water, all I need do is turn on the tap.  It got me thinking about water as a metaphor for the creative spirit.  Particularly when life involves caring for others, it can be easy to neglect your own wellbeing because of your commitment to the people you love.  Experiencing a sense of drought, feeling overwhelmed with no energy and little motivation can be symptomatic of burnout.  Finding a creative outlet is a great way to help get life flowing again.
The Artist's Way Parramatta starts tomorrow night. See workshops and events for details.
